Henderson has prepared extensively for Royal Lytham & St Annes, a course known for its 166 pot bunkers.
She tied for 11th at this venue in 2018 but missed the cut in the last three Opens held there.
"My last few years, I haven't had my best stuff when I've been playing," she admitted. "Two years ago, I was really sick, which was unfortunate timing."
She stressed the importance of adapting to the course's demands. "I think every time you do play on a links course, you learn more.
I think the big thing for me will be to just really lean into the creativity.
Just know that sometimes good shots are not going to be rewarded and sometimes bad shots turn out really well and that's just the way it is.
Just going with the flow will be really key."
Henderson plans to rely on the game plan she and her sister developed during their last visit to Royal Lytham, hoping familiarity will boost her confidence.
Weather conditions, including rain and cooler temperatures, may also influence play.

Alongside Henderson, Canadian golfer Anna Huang will also compete, representing Canada at this major championship.
