Bangstad criticized the move as excessive and unwarranted given the nature of the violations.

The brewery had previously attracted attention for social media posts implying free beer would be offered upon the death of a prominent political figure, interpreted as a reference to former President Donald Trump.

In January, the company posted on Facebook, "Free beer, all day long the day he dies," later clarifying the offer applied to its Madison Taproom.

Bangstad's political activism extends beyond his brewery operations.
