DHS addressed the updated airport enforcement stance in an official statement.
"DHS reversed the horrendous Biden-era policy that allowed aliens in our country illegally to jet around our country," DHS added.
"Under President Trump, DHS will no longer tolerate this.
This administration is working diligently to ensure that aliens in our country illegally can no longer fly unless it is out of our country to self-deport."
In response to arrests at Los Angeles International Airport and San Francisco International Airport, the Coalition of Humane Immigrant Rights issued a travel advisory urging immigrants to consult legal counsel before traveling domestically.
"We particularly recommend that individuals with pending green card applications or asylum applications consult with their attorney before making any domestic travel plans and, if possible, postpone nonessential domestic air travel until they have received legal advice," the nonprofit said in a statement.

Advocacy groups reported similar airport arrest incidents across Nevada, Colorado, Massachusetts, Florida, Illinois, Kansas, Michigan, New Jersey, Texas, and Virginia.
