Ram CEO Tim Kuniskis is bracing for backlash over the 2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee's quad cab-only configuration, but he's not backing down.
Speaking at a media event, Kuniskis said he expects "keyboard warriors" to "bitch" about the lack of a regular cab option.

However, he pointed out that only 3% of truck sales come from single cab models.
Why Quad Cab Makes Sense
Kuniskis noted that the SRT-10, the Rumble Bee's spiritual predecessor, was also offered in a quad cab configuration.
He joked that the quad cab provides a "spousal alibi," allowing buyers to pitch the truck as a practical family vehicle that seats five and tows up to 8,890 lbs.
The Rumble Bee features a 5' 7" bed and a 13-inch shorter wheelbase than crew cab models, improving handling and frame stiffness.

Kuniskis acknowledged that the Rumble Bee lineup is not a "safe bet," as muscle trucks have historically underperformed.
But he believes the timing is right, and Ram's strategy of offering four variants at different price points will appeal to a broader audience.
Previous sport trucks failed, Kuniskis said, because they were "half steps"—just big engines and suspension tweaks.
