The 2026 Formula One season reaches its fifth round at Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve in Montreal, where the Canadian Grand Prix will introduce the first Sprint race in the event's history.

The weekend runs from May 22 to 24, 2026.

Championship Battle Heats Up

Sprint Race and Revised Schedule

The Sprint race, covering 23 laps on the 4.361-kilometer circuit, takes place on Saturday, May 23 at 17:00 BST.

The main Grand Prix is scheduled for Sunday, May 24 at 21:00 BST (2:50 p. m.

ET), two hours later than previous years to avoid a clash with the Indianapolis 500.

Weather Forecast

Mixed weather is expected. Friday and Saturday will be dry and sunny with temperatures between 19°C and 21°C.

Sunday brings a 70% chance of rain and a drop to around 15°C.

broadcasting rights have shifted under a five-year exclusive deal making Apple TV the primary broadcaster for all sessions.
