MJF defeated Darby Allin to reclaim the AEW World Championship at All Elite Wrestling's Double or Nothing pay-per-view event on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens, New York.

The victory marks the third world championship reign for MJF, who risked getting his head shaved bald in the high-stakes Title vs. Hair match against Allin.

Allin previously won the title from MJF on an episode of Dynamite following the Dynasty pay-per-view event.

He then forced MJF to put his hair on the line for a rematch, referencing rumors surrounding MJF's hair transplant.

The championship bout featured aggressive physical exchanges.

Allin started the match by executing three consecutive side headlock takeovers on MJF, though the maneuvers failed to secure a pinfall.

MJF later performed a package piledriver on Allin onto turned-over steel steps outside the ring.

Despite the impact, Allin recovered to hit a low blow and attempted a pinfall, which MJF kicked out of.

During the closing sequences, Allin trapped MJF in a Scorpion Deathlock.

MJF managed to break the submission hold by reaching the ring ropes before securing the win with an avalanche tombstone from the top rope and a final side headlock takeover.

The event drew more than 14,000 professional wrestling fans to the Flushing Meadows-Corona Park venue.

Attendance from local fans was driven by lower entry-level ticket prices of $35 compared to rival promotion WWE.
