Feyenoord is targeting veteran goalkeeper coach Carlo l'Ami to rejoin its technical staff ahead of the upcoming Eredivisie season, according to reports.

The 59-year-old Dutchman is wanted by newly appointed technical director Dévy Rigaux to succeed Jyri Nieminen, who has announced his departure.

The pursuit comes as Feyenoord undergoes a significant restructuring of its coaching staff.

Assistant coach René Hake is also expected to finalize a move to England to become head coach of Leicester City, following the earlier departure of youth coach Robin van Persie.

Rigaux is pushing to finalize the backroom organization before the squad begins pre-season training.

Return to Familiar Territory

A move to Rotterdam would mark a return for l'Ami, who has been at Saudi Arabian club Al-Diraiyah FC since December 2025.

He later spent 13 years working for domestic rivals Ajax between 2007 and 2020.

His extensive international coaching career includes stints at Al-Wahda, Suriname, Al-Ain, and Al-Nasr.
