Last year, AMG sold approximately 145,000 vehicles globally, while BMW M moved over 213,000 units.
To reach 200,000 annual sales by 2030, AMG is ramping up its product offensive.
New Engines and Electrification
Central to the plan are two new engines: a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 with a flat-plane crank and a fresh six-cylinder unit.
The V8 debuted in the latest Mercedes-Benz S-Class.
The CLE 63 'Mythos' is expected to be the first AMG model to receive the V8, with the C 63 also a candidate.

The track-focused AMG GT Black Series and its GT3 race car will use the same engine.
On the electric front, AMG has launched the all-electric GT 4-Door with three axial-flux motors producing up to 1,163 hp.
An electric SUV is also in the pipeline.
“Our plan is definitely to grow,” said CEO Michael Schiebe. “We have taken many, many decisions.
All the products are now in the making.”
