Brazilian winger Raphinha sustained an apparent hamstring injury and was substituted in the 40th minute during Brazil's World Cup Group C match against Haiti on June 19 in Philadelphia.

The Barcelona forward went down while running on the right wing and was replaced by Bournemouth's Rayan.

Brazil led 2-0 at the time, thanks to two goals from Matheus Cunha.

Recurring Problem

The injury is a recurring issue for the 29-year-old, who missed five weeks of club action after damaging his right hamstring in a friendly against France on March 27.

Brazil entered the match following a 1-1 opening draw against Morocco, which drew criticism over the team's creativity and starting lineup under coach Carlo Ancelotti.

Ancelotti defended his squad selection and expressed confidence despite pressure to start 19-year-old Real Madrid forward Endrick.

"I'll bring Endrick on at the right moment. We'll have to wait a little while," Ancelotti said.

"He'll be important in this World Cup. For me personally, Endrick is an extraordinary talent.

Brazil will make the most of his qualities in this World Cup and in the next one too," he added.

Ancelotti remained calm about the draw against Morocco, where forwards Igor Thiago, Raphinha, Lucas Paqueta, and Matheus Cunha failed to score.

"The result against Morocco wasn't good but we need to offer constructive criticism," Ancelotti said.

The Brazilian squad worked to correct their performance errors before facing Haiti, who entered the match ranked 85th globally.
