"I just told them we have to hold our heads high… you're here to represent the country, Tunisia.

It's an honour, it's a duty," said Renard.

The manager stressed that the team must look past the opening defeat and concentrate fully on their upcoming performance on the pitch.

"We owe it to ourselves to do much better," said Renard.

Renard further emphasized the need for immediate internal concentration as the remaining preparation days concluded.

"I've told the players that they have to keep their heads up - you are here to represent your country," said Renard.

The technical staff prioritized defensive adjustments after Tunisia also conceded five goals against Belgium in a pre-tournament friendly.

"At the moment, we need to be strictly focused on ourselves. We still have a few days to be ready," said Renard.

Before achieving international success, including winning the Africa Cup of Nations with both Zambia and Ivory Coast, Renard balanced early coaching duties at SC Draguignan with a professional cleaning job, as reported by BBC Sport Africa.

"I woke up at 2:30 in the morning, finished around noon and then left at 5pm for training at Draguignan," said Renard.

The demanding daily routine shaped his management style and work ethic during the foundational years of his career.

"We trained and I'd return [home] at around 9pm to eat and then go to bed at 11pm.

That was my rhythm of life for eight years," said Renard.
