The manager credited those difficult professional experiences with building the resilience required for high-pressure international football environments.

"It was a physical job and I'm proud of having done it. It's the best schooling I could have had.

You have to go through some failures and difficult times but it makes you stronger," said Renard.

Zambian sports journalist Nkweto Tembwe recalled Renard's intense preparation methods and strategic focus during his tenure with the Zambian national team.

"Herve is a very, very focused person and knows what he wants," said Tembwe.

Tembwe noted that Renard actively studied upcoming opponents to find tactical advantages before crucial competitive matches.

"This is a gentleman that is not scared to get in the deep end and do the work," said Tembwe.

The analyst stated that detailed opposition research was standard practice for the French coach during tournament cycles.

"He does a lot of reading to make sure he keeps up with the trends that are going on.

He [studies] opponents like he's studying for an exam," said Tembwe.

According to Tembwe, motivational management played a decisive role in Renard leading underdog teams to continental titles.

"If you listen to Herve's pep talk in the semi-final against Ghana, you realise that Zambia won that match in the dressing room," said Tembwe.

The pre-game addresses focused heavily on specific player responsibilities and tactical execution under pressure.
