England manager Thomas Tuchel is facing scrutiny over his squad selections and player rotations during the ongoing FIFA World Cup in North America, drawing mixed reactions from former internationals and current players.
Former Manchester United and Cameroon midfielder Eric Djemba-Djemba criticized Tuchel's decision to leave out attacking duo Phil Foden and Cole Palmer entirely, following England's goalless draw against Ghana.

"I'm sorry for England.
I'm not the manager, but if I was the manager, I think Phil Foden and Cole Palmer, I would've taken them because in ten minutes they can come on and make an impact," Djemba-Djemba told Sporf.
He added that both players are very good and deserved a place in the squad, though he believes England can still reach the quarter-final or semi-final.
Inside the camp, players are rallying around winger Bukayo Saka, whose minutes are being carefully managed due to a lingering Achilles injury sustained during his domestic season with Arsenal.
Crystal Palace midfielder Eberechi Eze defended Saka's impact ahead of the Group I clash against Panama, highlighting his intelligence despite limited action as a substitute in the opening matches.
"Bukayo is a special player.
His understanding of the game is incredible, and he has a unique ability to make the right decisions at the right time," Eze said.
Eze noted that Saka provides a consistent, calming presence and an efficient offensive outlet during high-stakes fixtures.
"When you play with him, you always know what you're going to get.
