Portugal attempted to break the deadlock late in the game when Diogo Dalot curled a shot toward the far corner following a short corner routine with Bruno Fernandes, but the ball missed the target narrowly.

Colombia countered with substitutions in the second half, bringing on Richard Rios and Luis Suarez, who both missed close-range opportunities to seal a victory.

Spain Suffers Injury Blow

In a separate tournament development, Spain suffered a significant blow during their match against Uruguay as both Nico Williams and Yeremy Pino sustained moderate injuries.

Williams sustained a muscular injury in his right adductor following a heavy challenge from Uruguayan player Nico de la Cruz at the Guadalajara Stadium.

"Today is one of the worst days of my life.

I injure myself again after a very complicated year, in which pubalgia won many battles against me, but not the war," wrote Williams on social media.

Meanwhile, Spanish winger Yeremy Pino suffered a clavicle sprain after an awkward fall on his shoulder during the second half.
