A rare Lada 2105 VFTS rally car from the 1980s is up for sale on eBay Germany, priced at €63,000 (approximately $71,500).
This heavily modified Lada Riva sedan, also known as the 2105, was built to Group B rally specification and competed in the Austrian Rally Championship from 1985 through 1989.

The car rolled out of the AvtoVAZ factory in 1981, but its rally life began in 1985 when it was converted by the Austrian importer ÖAF, with Rudi Stohl running the program.
Drivers Rudi Strobl, Rainer Walenczko, and Engelbert Helm shared duties during its competition years.
After the rallying ended, the Lada sat in an Austrian garage until the current owner acquired it in 2018.
With help from rally specialists, the car was restored and earned an FIA Historic Technical Passport (HTP) by 2020, meeting B222 homologation.
Specs and Features
Under the hood, a naturally aspirated 1.6-liter engine features twin Weber carburetors and a high-flow intake manifold, lifting output from the factory's 75 hp (56 kW) to 128 hp (96 kW).

The car weighs roughly 920 kg (2,028 lbs) and is equipped with a short-ratio five-speed manual dog-box gearbox and a Torsen limited-slip differential.
Visually, the VFTS stands out with a custom bodykit including wide fender extensions, a front chin spoiler, and a ducktail rear.
It also features auxiliary spotlights and plastic windows to save weight.
Inside, the cabin has been stripped down to two fixed racing buckets and a roll cage, with extra gauges and switches added to the dashboard.
While spending over $70,000 on a former Soviet sedan may seem unusual, the market for historic rally machinery remains strong.

The Lada 2105 is an evolution of the VAZ-2101, which was based on the Fiat 124, a platform that later gave rise to the legendary Fiat 131 Abarth Rally.
