The main race featured several high-profile incidents. Championship leader Marco Bezzecchi crashed heavily at Turn 15 after topping Friday practice.

Defending world champion Francesco Bagnaia retired due to technical issues that dropped him from fourth to 12th.

Pedro Acosta also suffered mechanical trouble, slowing and falling out of points contention late in the race.

This followed two technical stoppages on Saturday morning, prompting team management to address the reliability of the KTM RC16 platform.

Technical Issues and Rider Frustration

Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team Manager Aki Ajo explained that Acosta's aggressive riding style triggered a safety feature when going over kerbs.

"A MotoGP bike has many sensors, and some of them are also for safety," Ajo said.

"When the rider went over the kerbs, they triggered the emergency mode and caused the bike to stop."

Acosta expressed strong frustration with the repeated failures. "A sorry will not solve anything," he said.

"When the problem is there and you don't know when it will come, it doesn't matter how sorry you are."

Contract Tensions and Moto3 Changes

Maverick Viñales voiced sharp dissatisfaction over contract negotiations for the 2027 season, blaming corporate leadership.

"If I'm not here next year, it will only be the fault of one person," he said.

Tech3 Head Guenther Steiner countered that Viñales let emotions overshadow diplomacy. "If you're a beggar, you cannot be a chooser," Steiner said.

"Blaming KTM for it is a little bit harsh."

MotoGP officials announced that Yamaha will be the exclusive machinery supplier for Moto3 starting in 2028.
