Pilot Files Lawsuit After Denver Bat Encounter

Meanwhile, a conventional hotel stay turned hazardous in a downtown lodging facility when an airline pilot encountered wildlife inside his room.

According to cbsnews.

com, a commercial pilot filed a lawsuit against the Sheraton Denver Hotel Downtown after allegedly being bitten by a bat during an August 2025 stay on the 22nd floor.

"He was sleeping and he woke up to a commotion, and he woke up and said there were bats flying around his room," said Ed Lomena, the pilot's attorney.

The legal complaint alleges that hotel workers failed to seal an opening underneath the air conditioning unit where the animals entered and did not relocate the guest.

The following morning, the pilot discovered another bat lingering inside the room and recorded video evidence.
