Meanwhile, the financial situation for smaller European carriers worsened as the Court of Sion declared Swiss charter airline Air Mountain bankrupt, forcing the permanent cancellation of more than 30 summer flights.

As reported by aol.

com, the Swiss Federal Office of Civil Aviation revoked Air Mountain's air operator's license on June 10, 2026, after the airline failed to appeal the insolvency ruling.

Air Mountain Director Raphaël Délèze told local news outlet RTS that a critical delay in the ski season for aircraft maintenance prevented the carrier from generating enough revenue to cover mounting financial deficits.

The collapse adds to a growing list of international aviation liquidations and restructuring procedures recorded during the first half of 2026.
