Sergei Bobrovsky has risen to the top spot on TSN's Unrestricted Free Agents ranking list as of June 30, 2026, just before the market opens on July 1.
The veteran goaltender moved up after defensemen Rasmus Andersson and John Carlson were projected to stay off the market.

Andersson is expected to remain with the Vegas Golden Knights, while Carlson's rights were traded to the Carolina Hurricanes.
Despite recording a sub-. 900 save percentage last season, Bobrovsky now leads the top 50 available players.
The demand for reliable goaltending is high after the league saw its lowest average save percentage in over 30 years, according to The New York Times.
Teams like the San Jose Sharks, Edmonton Oilers, and Toronto Maple Leafs are actively seeking to improve their goaltending situations.
According to Nick Kypreos of Sportsnet, Bobrovsky's contract demands from the Florida Panthers are substantial.
"There are some suggestions that his ask is as high as $42 million over six or seven years," Kypreos said.

Florida Panthers General Manager Bill Zito addressed the ongoing negotiations. "Until doors close you never know," Zito said.
"Bob is a guy that has done so much for our organization and we continue to evaluate every single day.
Try to be better. There are no doors closed here ever."
Aside from Bobrovsky, Winnipeg Jets goaltender Connor Hellebuyck remains a major trade target with five years left on his contract, with the Buffalo Sabres emerging as a potential landing spot.
The Edmonton Oilers are searching for a tandem partner for Tristan Jarry, eyeing options like Frederik Andersen, Cam Talbot, and Stuart Skinner, as reported by the Daily Hive.
