The Duke of Sussex is reviewing all available measures to ensure his family can safely accompany him during an upcoming visit to the United Kingdom scheduled for July 2026.
Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, plan to travel from California for public and private engagements, including promoting the Birmingham Invictus Games.

The trip remains complicated due to an ongoing dispute with the British government over taxpayer-funded police protection, which was downgraded after the couple stepped back from senior royal duties in 2020.
Security Concerns and Independent Assessment
Representatives for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex addressed the current state of planning and the necessity of independent safety evaluations for the family's itinerary.
"The Duke continues to explore every available option to enable the visit to proceed safely and to give his children the opportunity to enjoy the UK," stated a spokesman for Prince Harry.
The security team emphasized that their concerns extend beyond their living arrangements while staying in the country.
"Prince Harry's programme in the United Kingdom includes both public and private engagements across the country," the spokesman added.
The representative noted that securing proper protection throughout the entire journey remains the primary hurdle for the upcoming trip.
"Safe accommodation is only one element of an effective protective security plan because risk follows the person, not the place," the spokesman said.
The Duke's team also criticized the lack of progress regarding the oversight panel previously deemed necessary by official security coordinators.
