Veteran forward Corey Perry has signed a one-year, $1 million contract to return to the Los Angeles Kings, the team announced Wednesday, July 1, 2026.
The 41-year-old unrestricted free agent will begin his 23rd NHL season with the Kings.

Perry's 2025-26 Season and Trade History
Perry spent part of last season with Los Angeles before being traded to the Tampa Bay Lightning on March 6 in exchange for a 2028 second-round draft pick.
During the 2025-26 regular season, he accumulated 37 points (17 goals, 20 assists) and 81 penalty minutes in 72 games split between both franchises.
According to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, the deal brings Perry back to the Kings after the mid-season trade.
Career Achievements
Perry is one of only two active players drafted in the 2003 NHL Draft, alongside Brent Burns, and is a member of the Triple Gold Club.

He has recorded 972 regular-season points in 1,464 games.
His standout season came in 2010-11 when he won the Rocket Richard and Hart Trophies with the Anaheim Ducks.
Perry won the Stanley Cup with Anaheim in 2007 and has made six finals appearances, including consecutive runner-up finishes with the Edmonton Oilers in 2024 and 2025.
