Free agent swingman Tim Hardaway Jr. has agreed to a one-year, $6.5 million contract with the Miami Heat, according to multiple reports.
The move reunites the 34-year-old guard with the franchise where his father, Hall of Famer Tim Hardaway Sr., built his legacy.

However, the younger Hardaway will not be allowed to wear his signature No. 10 jersey, as it was retired by the Heat in 2009.
Father's Legacy Stands
Tim Hardaway Sr. played 367 regular-season games for Miami after being traded from the Golden State Warriors in 1996, averaging 17.3 points and 7.8 assists per game.
He earned three All-NBA selections and had his No. 10 jersey raised to the rafters at Kaseya Center on October 28, 2009.
"My legacy is my legacy.
Even though he likes to wear No. 10, that is not coming down from the rafters," the elder Hardaway said on WQAM radio in Miami.

He added, "I love him. I'm happy for him.
But no, he can't wear No. 10."
Role With Revamped Roster
Hardaway Jr. joins a restructured Heat roster that recently added superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo.
He spent last season with the Denver Nuggets, averaging 13.5 points per game while shooting 40.7 percent from three-point range.
He finished third in the NBA Sixth Man of the Year voting and has averaged 2.3 made three-pointers per game over 893 career outings.
