London is set for a bustling weekend of major cultural and sporting events from July 3 to July 5, 2026.

The British Summer Time (BST) festival returns to Hyde Park, alongside the city's annual Pride parade and Formula 1 fan activations.

The BST Hyde Park festival is expected to attract nearly 500,000 attendees across its multi-day run.

Synthpop band Duran Duran will headline the main stage on Sunday, July 5.

Jim King, CEO of AEG Presents UK and European Festivals, highlighted the festival's strong ticket sales.

"Last year was, in some ways, unrepeatable, because we sold every single ticket.

But I think this year still ranks as one of the best that we've ever had," he said.

King noted that the festival quickly added extra shows for high-demand performers.

"We added it pretty much straight away – I think it was on day one of the onsale," he explained.

The festival's lineup spans multiple genres to appeal to a wide audience.

"BST stands for the biggest artists in the world coming to Hyde Park to play – regardless of genre," King said.

Addressing diversity at the top of the bill, King emphasized that scheduling depends on artist availability. "It's certainly not where we set out to achieve.

But unfortunately we don't choose artists, artists choose us," he said.

King also acknowledged operational challenges from the summer heatwave. "The heatwave of the last few weeks has a secondary impact.

That is not to be underestimated when you've got people not wanting to travel because of concerns about the heat within public transport systems," he said.

Beyond the festival, London will host the UK's largest free-to-attend LGBTQ+ Pride parade on Saturday, July 4.

An estimated 1.8 million participants are expected to march from Green Park to Whitehall.

Additional free weekend activities include a Williams F1 fan zone at Piccadilly Circus.
