"I feel like I play better tennis and feel like I [at] important moments have a bit more confidence, which is always very helpful," Zverev said.
He expressed his desire to prolong his campaign at the All England Club after his third-round victory.
"I'm through to the fourth round, I want to keep going and I want to play a lot more great matches.
Out here on Court 1, stadium court, whatever, I just enjoy my time out here on court," Zverev said.
The French Open champion added that entering the grass-court tournament with a recent Grand Slam title provides a mental edge.
"I just hope to continue doing that and, of course, winning in Paris, coming in here with a title like that, I think helps everybody," Zverev said.
He concluded his post-match thoughts by outlining his ambitions for the remainder of the tournament.
"It doesn't matter who you are, it doesn't matter how many Grand Slams you've won.
For me, it's my first one so I'm very happy about that but of course now I want to keep going," Zverev said.
In a separate interview with ELLE magazine, Croft reflected on her long broadcasting career and discussed the evolving intersection of fashion and professional tennis at Wimbledon.
"My kids always say they can't keep up with my energy, I just motor on through," Croft said.
She noted that the current tournament has already delivered highly competitive matches and unexpected results on the grass courts.
