Cameron Menzies claimed his first professional darts title since undergoing hand surgery, winning PC 23 on Monday, July 6, 2026.

The victory guarantees him a qualifying spot for the upcoming World Matchplay tournament in Blackpool.

Menzies posted a 96.11 average throughout the event, with a first-nine average of 105.68.

He hit 26 total 180s, the most of any player, including nine in the final against Cristo Reyes.

His path to the title included wins over Carl Sneyd, Nathan Potter, Cor Dekker, Josh Rock, Charlie Manby, and Dave Chisnall.

This win marks the third consecutive year Menzies has secured a Pro Tour event title.

Overcoming Injury and Doubt

Menzies underwent surgery after a hand injury at the 2026 PDC World Championship, which led him to question his future in the sport.

I let my family down and my friends down,” he said.

“Two or three months ago I was putting my CV back up; it's legit true.

I was getting phone calls and stuff from agencies; I genuinely thought my darts were spiralling, cause I was struggling.

I never thought I'd win one of these again,” Menzies added.

Now ranked 27th on the PDC Order of Merit, Menzies is positioned to climb further in 2026.

With limited defensive requirements for his current ranking, he has room to advance during the remainder of the year.
