Portugal's Tactical Flexibility
Portugal head coach Roberto Martinez addressed the possibility of altering his attacking formation depending on the flow of the game.
"Regarding the possibility of playing with two forwards, it depends on the course of the match and the opponent," Martinez said.
He emphasized the tactical adaptability his squad has practiced over three and a half years.
"In some moments it may be necessary to change the dynamic, and in other moments we cannot play with a shortage in the midfield.
We have great tactical flexibility," Martinez said.
Martinez noted that preparing for Spain requires a specialized approach.
"Facing Spain is different from facing any other national team, and we have to adapt accordingly," he said.
He highlighted the psychological elements needed to overcome a strong opponent.
