All-Star second baseman Ernie Clement went 3-for-4 with a double, one RBI, and one run scored, bringing his season hit total to 101.

Rookies Brandon Valenzuela, Jonatan Clase, and Sean Keys started to spark the offense. Clase hit a three-run home run in the second inning off Giants starter Trevor McDonald.

Before the game, media discussed Vladimir Guerrero Jr.'s batting struggles. He went 1-for-5 with two double plays.
