Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout completed a comprehensive pre-game workout on Tuesday in Arlington, Texas, signaling significant progress toward returning to the lineup after suffering a hamstring injury three weeks ago.
The workout consisted of base running, batting practice, and outfield drills following the team's off day on Monday.

"He's feeling a lot better today," said Angels manager Kurt Suzuki. "I think the good thing is every day he's feeling better and better.
Definitely looking good."
Suzuki noted that Trout increased his workout intensity, and the team will monitor his recovery to determine the next steps.
"We'll see how he recovers tomorrow and see where it goes," said Suzuki.
The manager added that the veteran outfielder does not need to face live pitching before activation.
"With a guy like Mike, who's been around a long time and we know what he can do when he's healthy, when he feels he's ready, we're going to get him going," said Suzuki.
Trout initially injured his hamstring on June 17, and a return during the current series in Texas would mark a three-week absence.
Despite the injury, he was elected to start the All-Star Game for the 11th time, which will take place in Philadelphia.
He has not participated in an All-Star Game since 2019 due to consecutive injuries in 2021, 2022, and 2023.
Trout stated he will not play in the All-Star Game unless he is healthy enough to suit up for the Angels first.
