Colorado nearly stole the victory after trailing late.
Third baseman Kyle Karros drove a one-out RBI double into the right-center field gap off Tanner Scott in the ninth inning, cutting the Dodgers' lead to 6-4.
Cole Carrigg then tied the game with a two-run double.
Family Connection in the Broadcast Booth
The matchup featured a notable family connection.
Former Los Angeles first baseman and 1992 NL Rookie of the Year Eric Karros called the game from the broadcast booth while his son Kyle played for Colorado.
Eric Karros became the franchise's all-time Los Angeles home run leader in 2000, finishing his career with 284 home runs and 1,724 hits.
His other son, Jared Karros, pitches in the Dodgers organization after being drafted from UCLA in 2022.
During the broadcast, a foul ball off the bat of Colorado catcher Hunter Goodman landed near the booth, creating a humorous exchange.
Play-by-play announcer Joe Davis retrieved the ball and joked about Karros's reaction. Replay showed Karros had ducked away rather than fielding the ball.

Davis later poked fun at Karros, saying, "Disheveled as can be."
The family connection previously highlighted spring training in 2024, when the father and son exchanged lineup cards at Camelback Ranch.
