Alpine premiered its new A110 Future electric development mule dynamically on July 9, 2026, at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, signaling the brand's shift toward an all-electric sports car lineup.
Formula One driver Pierre Gasly drove the prototype up the famous Goodwood Hill alongside passenger Duke of Richmond to demonstrate the vehicle's capabilities.

The run marked the public introduction of the new Alpine Performance Platform (APP), a modular architecture designed to underpin the brand's upcoming third-generation vehicles.
"It was great to be amongst the first to drive the future of Alpine with my run up the Goodwood Hill in the Alpine A110 FUTURE today," said Pierre Gasly, BWT Alpine Formula One Team driver.
"It's a special occasion for Alpine to unveil what is next in its range in front of such passionate fans at this event.
Alpine continues to show that an electric sports car can be lighter, sharper and really enjoyable to drive."
Technical Specifications and Platform
The test mule replaces the previous generation's turbocharged 1.8-liter gasoline engine with a dual rear e-powertrain while maintaining a rear-wheel-drive configuration.

According to official media releases from Alpine, the engineering team utilized a split battery arrangement with 25 percent of the energy up front and 75 percent at the rear to match the low driving position of the internal combustion predecessor.
The vehicle features an 800-volt electrical architecture with a cell-to-pack high-energy-density battery design housed inside a die-cast aluminum casing.
Additional technical features include silicon carbide inverters, a 400-volt boost charging system, and the new Active Torque Vectoring 2.0 system to manage wheel slip and minimize understeer during cornering.
Motor1 reported that the final second-generation gasoline A110 recently finished production in Dieppe, marking 28,701 units built out of 35,450 total models produced since the nameplate's original 1969 launch.

The production-ready version of the electric replacement is scheduled to officially launch in 2027.
