Authorities arrested two individuals, including an 18-year-old man, on suspicion of arson regarding the Fontainebleau fires.
France's interior minister provided national context on the escalating fire season amid the summer's third heatwave.
"32,000 hectares across France have been burned so far this year, more than during the entire 2025 fire season," said Laurent Nuñez, Interior Minister of France.
