In a related sports family connection, Southampton defender Taylor Harwood-Bellis married Leah Keane, the daughter of former Manchester United captain Roy Keane, earlier this year.
Harwood-Bellis spoke about the guidance he receives from his father-in-law.
"He's one of the people, barring my immediate family, who I know for a fact has only my interests in mind," said Harwood-Bellis.
He added that the former Manchester United midfielder maintains high standards when providing feedback on his performances.
"The advice he gives me, I know he's got my full interests at heart, so he has helped me with decisions," said Harwood-Bellis.
"He shows me lots of support and he doesn't say well done too often, unless I've done something special."
Harwood-Bellis noted that praise remains rare from the pundit: "Maybe if we beat City, I might get a well done."
