Jonathan Lodge, an on-road technician with the company for over three years, learned of his redundancy on the day the administration was announced.
"I think we all expected the worst," he said.
"But it was when we started seeing the group of people in suits from the administrators that we thought 'this ain't good'.
It just seems very abrupt. No one knew anything until it started popping up on people's social media on Friday."
Administrators' Response
KR8 Advisory Ltd's Joint Administrator Rob Halliday explained, "Approximately 273 employees have been affected by the appointment, and our immediate priority is to support employees through the redundancy process, including assisting them with claims to the Redundancy Payments Service, while securing and safeguarding the company's assets for the benefit of creditors."
Halliday confirmed that administrators are reviewing the company's financial situation and will contact sellers and customers with guidance on next steps.
The collapse also affected webuyanybike. com, an online motorcycle trading platform operated by the same company, which ceased all operations simultaneously.
A statement on its website instructed customers to direct inquiries to the administrators' contact email.
Administrators revealed that despite attempts to rescue the business, including exploring sales options and attracting multiple interested parties, no deal could be finalized.
The company faced a combination of declining new and used motorcycle sales, tighter consumer finance, rising operating costs, and broader uncertainties in motor vehicle finance that made survival impossible.
Rob Halliday said, "The companies have ceased to trade with immediate effect.
