The exterior features an aggressive front end resembling a comic book villain's helmet, with V-shaped LED lights and a gloss-black grille.
The profile includes a rising window line and 19-inch aero wheels.
Downsized Dimensions and New Platform
The new VF 8 measures 4,701 mm (185.1 inches) in length, 49 mm shorter than the outgoing model.
The wheelbase has been reduced by 110 mm to 2,840 mm.
Under the skin, the vehicle rides on a new architecture with a Software Defined Vehicle electrical layout.
Power comes from a single front-mounted motor producing 228 hp, fed by a 60.13 kWh battery.
VinFast claims a range of 500 km (311 miles) on the NEDC cycle.
These specs represent a downgrade from the previous VF 8, which offered up to 402 hp from dual motors and an 87.7 kWh battery.

Interior and Pricing
The cabin retains a five-seat layout with fewer physical buttons.
A 12.9-inch infotainment screen replaces the old 15.6-inch unit, and a digital instrument cluster is added.
Standard features include dual-zone climate control, an eight-speaker stereo, and a full ADAS suite.
Pre-orders in Vietnam begin May 27, with deliveries starting in late July.
The VF 8 is priced from 999 million Vietnamese dong (about $37,900), cheaper than the previous generation's starting price of 1.019 billion dong ($38,700).
Export plans remain unconfirmed. The original VF 8 struggled in the U.
S. , with fewer than 1,500 units sold last year.
