Four of these incidents involved accidents where a Hyundai was rear-ended by another vehicle, resulting in four injuries.
To fix the problem, dealers will update the front camera software. Notification letters are scheduled to be sent in mid-July.
Loose Suspension Fasteners
The third recall covers 172 vehicles, specifically the 2025 Ioniq 5 and 2026 Ioniq 9.
These EVs may have rear suspension fasteners that were not properly torqued during assembly.
Vibrations can loosen the nuts and bolts over time, potentially leading to a loss of control.
Hyundai was alerted to the issue in 2025 after a complaint about an odd noise from the rear suspension of an Ioniq 5.
The automaker is aware of only two incidents and estimates that just 1% of the affected vehicles have improperly torqued components.

Dealers will inspect and replace the rear suspension fasteners and perform a rear wheel alignment as part of the recall.
