The Vegas Golden Knights mounted a third-period comeback to defeat the Colorado Avalanche 3-1 in Game 2 of the Western Conference Final on Friday at Ball Arena.
The victory gives Vegas a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven series as the action shifts to Las Vegas.

Jack Eichel tied the game 1-1 at 9:15 of the final period, scoring his first goal since the opening round.
Ivan Barbashev then put the Golden Knights ahead just over two minutes later and added an empty-net goal with 1:03 remaining in regulation.
Goaltender Carter Hart made 29 saves to keep Vegas within striking distance before the offense took over.
Colorado had taken the lead late in the first period when Ross Colton scored with 3:01 left.

The Golden Knights improved to 4-1 in franchise history when playing a Game 2 on the road.
Since 1982, NHL teams that take a 2-0 lead in a conference final after winning both opening games on the road are 13-0.
Game 3 is scheduled for Sunday at 5 p. m.
