Los Angeles Lakers guard Luka Doncic was named to the All-NBA First Team on Sunday, marking his sixth career All-NBA selection and his first since joining the Lakers.
Doncic received 91 First Team votes and nine Second Team votes from the voting panel.

The honor comes despite voters excluding him from their MVP ballots, even after the NBA approved his eligibility through the Extraordinary Circumstances Challenge.
No other Lakers player earned All-NBA honors this season. LeBron James and Austin Reaves did not meet the mandatory 65-game threshold required for award eligibility.
This represents a reversal from the previous season, when James earned All-NBA honors while Doncic was ineligible due to injury.
Scoring Champion and Historic March
Doncic led the NBA as the scoring champion, averaging 33.5 points per game. He also represented the Lakers as an All-Star for the first time.

He was the only player to win Western Conference Player of the Month multiple times this season, securing the award in January and March.
During March, Doncic guided the Lakers to a 15-2 record, including a 60-point performance on the road against the Miami Heat.
He registered 600 total points in March alone, becoming one of only 10 players in NBA history to achieve that milestone.
He joins a historic list featuring Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Wilt Chamberlain, Michael Jordan, and Jerry West.
