The Pittsburgh Steelers have secured tight end Darnell Washington with a four-year contract extension worth $42 million, including $21 million guaranteed.
The deal, reported by ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, locks in Washington through the 2029 season and reflects his growing role in the offense.

Washington's Rise with the Steelers
Washington was selected by Pittsburgh in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft.
He initially served primarily as a blocker, catching seven passes for 61 yards as a rookie.

His production increased in 2024, with 19 receptions for 200 yards and one touchdown. In 2025, he recorded 31 catches for 364 yards and another touchdown.
