McGinn's Decisive Strike
John McGinn scored the opening goal after a sharp sequence following the first-half hydration break. He capitalized on a rebound from a saved Che Adams shot.
The build-up began with a long ball from Grant Hanley to Adams, who played the ball wide to Ben Gannon-Doak before Haiti goalkeeper Placide saved the initial low cross.
McGinn connected with the rebound, sending a scuffed shot that took a deflection before flicking off the outstretched foot of Jean-Ricner Bellegarde into the net.
Earlier, Scott McTominay came close in the 16th minute when his strike hit the post after a pass from Gannon-Doak.
Unconvincing Display
Despite the historic celebration, the single-goal success left lingering concerns about Scotland's ability to advance past the group phase with fixtures against Morocco and Brazil ahead.

Scotland delivered an unconvincing performance that was frequently exposed by a dynamic but erratic Haitian side, which lacked the composure to capitalize on defensive gaps.
Haiti threatened through Wilson Isidor, who had a penalty claim dismissed after a challenge by Hanley, and Ruben Providence, who forced a low save from Angus Gunn.
In the second half, Lawrence Shankland narrowly missed connecting with a superb cross from Andy Robertson.
As the match entered the final quarter, the narrow scoreline failed to satisfy either side, leaving Scotland with a fragile goal difference heading into tougher group fixtures.
