Hamilton also stated that the feeling of achieving this milestone victory surpassed his expectations after the immense difficulties of the prior year.
"How do you find the right words to express an emotion that's beyond your wildest dreams?" asked Hamilton during his post-race media briefing.
He reaffirmed his belief in the original decision to transition to the Maranello-based team despite the severe external criticism that occurred in 2025.
"I truly believed in my decision in joining Ferrari. I truly believed in what this team could achieve, what we could achieve together.
And I know it started out with lots of excitement and then lots of doubt and lots of negativity that followed through a whole year," said Hamilton.
Hamilton expressed gratitude toward his inner circle and the Ferrari personnel who celebrated the achievement on the podium.
"My fans really rescued me last year, my family also, and friends that stuck with me through it all," stated Hamilton.
He emphasized that the internal adjustments made over the winter break directly facilitated his return to the top step of the podium.
"Starting into a new season, a new year, lots and lots of changes enabled me to get to this position that I'm in today.
I just feel a lot of gratitude, a lot of pride, and very, very proud of the people that I work with," explained Hamilton.
The driver concluded by praising the emotional atmosphere and the humility of his team during the post-race celebrations.
