Approximately 50,000 spectators are projected to flood the 13.5-square-mile peninsula daily during the three-day NASCAR San Diego race weekend.

The event is held on the Qualcomm Circuit.

Municipal authorities and race organizers expect severe delays extending well beyond the military installation. The nearly sold-out event overlaps with the peak summer tourist season.

Due to strict military security infrastructure at Naval Base Coronado, all attendees must present a valid event ticket alongside a government-issued photo identification to gain access.
