Forward Kiki Iriafen delivered the game-winning performance, scoring 20 points after missing three games due to an ankle injury.

With the score tied at 83 in the final minute, Sonia Citron found Iriafen for a go-ahead layup under the basket with 27 seconds left.
Breanna Stewart missed a contested layup 13 seconds later, and Iriafen made one of two free throws to extend the lead to 86-83.
New York had two chances to tie, but three-point attempts from Sabrina Ionescu and Satou Sabally missed before the buzzer.
Mystics Overcome Fourth-Quarter Deficit
Washington trailed 77-71 in the fourth quarter before Iriafen scored six straight points to spark a 10-2 run, putting the Mystics ahead 81-79 with 1:33 remaining.

The victory also snapped Washington's 10-game regular-season losing streak against New York, marking their first win over the Liberty since the 2023 season.
For New York, Leonie Fiebich scored 19 points, and Stewart recorded a double-double with 16 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists.
The Liberty reserves contributed 20 points in the first half, led by eight points each from Satou Sabally and Han Xu, giving New York a 43-39 halftime lead.

Washington will next face the Minnesota Lynx in a home-and-home series starting Sunday, while New York begins a four-game road trip against the Los Angeles Sparks on Sunday.
