The Seattle Mariners selected the contract of utility player Weston Wilson from Triple-A Tacoma and designated fellow utilityman Miles Mastrobuoni for assignment on Friday, June 19, 2026.
The moves were announced by Executive Vice President and General Manager of Baseball Operations Justin Hollander ahead of a three-game series against the Boston Red Sox at T-Mobile Park.

The Mariners added a right-handed bat to counter three left-handed starting pitchers scheduled by Boston.
Mastrobuoni played a key role in the previous series victory over Baltimore but was out of minor league options, forcing the designation.
Manager Dan Wilson called the decision difficult, praising Mastrobuoni's contributions.
"Always difficult to lose a player who's part of the family," Wilson said. "What he did here, particularly here in the last week, was outstanding."
Wilson added that Weston Wilson would start immediately, giving J. P.
Crawford a scheduled day off.

Center fielder Julio Rodriguez returned to action after missing time with hamstring spasms.
"Getting yesterday off was helpful," Wilson said. "Excited to get Julio back in center field."
Pitcher Bryan Woo praised Mastrobuoni's versatility and readiness.
"It's the DNA of a good team," Woo said. "Mastro coming out and playing left field ...
makes play after play."
