Former Chicago Bears Hall of Fame linebackers Mike Singletary and Brian Urlacher have publicly shared contrasting viewpoints regarding the franchise's ongoing stadium dilemma and potential relocation out of Illinois.
The franchise is currently weighing options between constructing a new dome in Illinois or moving across state lines to Hammond, Indiana.

While Urlacher expressed strong opposition to leaving Soldier Field and playing inside a dome, Singletary emphasized that financial competitiveness and winning are all that matter for the team's legacy.
Singletary: Winning Defines the Bears, Not Location
During an appearance on the "Up and Adams Show," Singletary explained that the true identity of the franchise depends on on-field success rather than a specific geographic location.
"I gotta be honest with you, I've heard it all, at the end of the day, wherever they go whether it's Chicago, the suburbs, Indiana, as long as they win, they're always going to be the Bears," said Singletary.
"I think Papa Halas would say just win. Wherever you are, win."
Singletary added that staying in Chicago is meaningless if the team cannot compete financially.
"It comes down to, you can stay in Chicago, but if you can't compete on the financial side of things, you can't continue to bring on players and coaches that are going to make a difference," he said.
"Then I think you're going to see the stands a little less full. If you're a winning organization, that's what Papa Bear Halas had in mind."
