Cunha started the match after being used as a late substitute in Brazil's previous 1-1 draw against Morocco.
He opened the scoring by converting a rebound from a Vinícius Júnior shot.
Cunha later doubled the lead in the first half with a left-footed strike into the upper corner after receiving a pass through the defense from Vinícius Júnior.
Vinícius Júnior scored the final goal of the first half to seal the win.
