The Golden State Warriors selected Florida State defensive wing Lajae Jones with the 54th overall pick in the second round of the 2026 NBA Draft.
Jones becomes the first NBA Draft selection under Florida State head coach Luke Loucks, who previously spent six seasons as a Warriors assistant from 2016 to 2022.

The 6-foot-7 wing played one season at Florida State after transferring from St. Bonaventure.
He averaged 12.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.0 steals, and 1.7 blocks per game for the Seminoles.
Across his three-year collegiate career, which also included a stint at Tarleton State, Jones averaged 10.7 points and 5.2 rebounds per game.
He shot 34.6% from three-point range and 44.6% from the field during his time at FSU.

Jones highlighted his season with a 36-point performance against Georgia Southern, tying the Seminoles program record with 10 made three-pointers in a single game.
He recorded 23 double-figure scoring games and two double-doubles.
In his final college game, Jones scored 28 points in an 80-79 loss to Duke in the ACC Tournament quarterfinals.
His playing style features rim-attacking dunks and a willingness to contest shots as a shot blocker.

Golden State has a history of finding contributors in the second round, including veteran Draymond Green and 2025 pick Will Richard.
