"For us to go to Twickenham on Saturday and beat the Barbarians is everything," Lynn said.

The coaching staff intends to evaluate individual performances directly from live match scenarios rather than relying strictly on training camp evaluations.

"I don't want to be coming into pre-season where an individual has trained really well but we've got no evidence from a game, so that's what the squad is selected on," Lynn said.

The matchday lineup features positional shifts, including Kayleigh Powell moving to fly-half to compete for a starting role.

"Certain individuals have put their hands up, and that's why we're going to give their reward," Lynn said.

The management emphasizes that tactical discipline must accompany the team's desire to secure a victory against the star-studded invitational side.

"You want to be playing against the best and learning from the best, but we also want to be making sure that we put our best foot forward," Lynn said.

The Barbarians women's squad features international stars including captain Emily Chancellor and Ruby Tui, posing a formidable challenge for Lynn's developing roster.

"We all want to be winning, that's what it comes down to in Test match rugby," Lynn said.

The double-header represents a unified front for Welsh rugby under the banner of "Two teams. One Wales" as both squads manage separate competitive timelines.
