American Madison Keys and German veteran Tatjana Maria will contest the WTA Eastbourne International final after both won their semifinals on Friday via opponent retirements.
Second seed Keys took the first set 6-1 against Croatian lucky loser Petra Marcinko, who then withdrew due to an abdominal injury.

Keys has dropped only 14 games and spent just four hours on court this week.
"It's always bittersweet winning a match this way and hopefully she gets better for Wimbledon," said Keys, ranked 31st in the world.
Maria led 6-1, 1-2 against former French Open champion Jelena Ostapenko when the Latvian retired through illness during a rain delay.

The 38-year-old German is the oldest ever finalist at the Eastbourne WTA event.
"It's never nice to end like this but I'm happy with my week for the moment, and I'm happy to be in the final," said Maria, ranked 112th.
Keys is chasing her third Eastbourne singles title, aiming to join Martina Navratilova and Chris Evert as the only players with three or more trophies at the event.

In the concurrent men's ATP tournament, France's Ugo Humbert defeated British hope Jack Draper 7-5, 6-3, while Belgium's Zizou Bergs beat Britain's Toby Samuel 4-6, 7-6(5), 6-2.
