It's not like we go one way or the other," he stated.

He reiterated that recent changes introduced during the Spanish Grand Prix weekend had already partially restored his comfort level inside the cockpit.

"As I've said in the past, these cars are very, very different, but nowadays, we've got a lot of freedom with the setup to make sure that a car fits your driving," Leclerc explained.

The team swapped brake suppliers ahead of Barcelona to resolve the specific stopping issues that plagued Leclerc during the earlier North American and street circuit events.

"So, it's not that I feel limited in any kind of way with that, and I don't think that this is going to be an issue that is going to keep going.

I hope not, at least, but I felt a lot better in Barcelona with things that we have changed," Leclerc said.

Despite showing competitive pace during early practice sessions, consecutive technical failures on Sundays cost the team significant points in the championship battle against Mercedes.

"I don't think it's part of any of this, and I don't feel any less confident with this car than last year's car," Leclerc noted.

Leclerc expressed optimism about reversing his fortunes at the upcoming Austrian Grand Prix to stop the deficit from growing further before the summer break.

"It's just that there's been these two, three races where there's been the lack of confidence in Canada and Monaco.

On top of that, we've got technical issues on the Sunday in Monaco and in Spain, and that means that this has been lots of points lost in three weekends, and it's not a nice feeling," he maintained.

Hamilton's breakthrough victory in Spain marked his first grand prix win since joining the Maranello-based squad, following back-to-back second-place finishes.

"But I'm looking forward to this weekend and trying to put all of this behind us," Leclerc concluded.
