"As more heavy rain continues through late tonight, we need folks to remain alert and to avoid driving, especially after dark when there is limited visibility," said Gov.

Andy Beshear.

State police and swift water rescue teams continued responding to emergency calls into the night as floodwaters inundated key thoroughfares.

In Madison County, where significant infrastructure damage occurred, local emergency officials reported that major transport links were completely covered by rising waters, describing them as being "significant roads underwater" as teams navigated the area.

Furthermore, state authorities confirmed that multiple travel routes were entirely "out of commission" due to the severity of the infrastructure damage.

In neighboring Richmond, police officers blocked off submerged streets where drone footage later captured the structural failure of Millon Church following a nearby creek overflow.

"Praying everyone stays safe," stated the Millon Church leadership in an online announcement cancelling services.

Meanwhile, Bullitt County emergency management officials issued precautionary evacuation orders for residents living near a local dam after a landslide affected the embankment.

Officials assured the public that the structure remained stable and showed no indication of an "imminent failure," though conditions were monitored continuously.

However, as localized flooding worsened near Lebanon Junction, emergency dispatchers adjusted their assessment after identifying a "moderate dam failure" that required immediate evacuation to higher ground.

As the evening progressed, local public safety departments monitored water levels to determine when displaced residents could safely return to their properties.

"Flood waters may be starting to recede in some areas, but the danger is not over," stated the Bullitt County Emergency Management.
