"It would be taking somewhat of an American fool that we could help educate in English football and his journey would be an American fan’s," said Barnett.

Concurrently, the franchise continues to expand its television presence.

Comedian Sapphire McIntosh is set to appear as a player for Richmond WFC in the upcoming fourth season of Ted Lasso on Apple TV+.

McIntosh will also debut her autobiographical comedy show, Squeaky Bum Time, at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival from August 5 to August 30.

The show draws from her experiences with homelessness, youth football at Leeds United, and her acting career.

"It’s also a reflection of my artistic journey, living in London as a working-class creative – there’s been a lot of squeaky bum times, and a lot have been centred around housing, and paying London rent without having London money," said comedian Sapphire McIntosh.

McIntosh stated that the performance blends standard stand-up comedy with multimedia elements and physical acting.

"It’s not just full stand-up; there’s a lot of acting, there’s expressions.

We’re going to be using sound, props – all to make this weird autobiographical show about my life," said McIntosh.

Reflecting on her teen years, McIntosh recalled balancing homelessness with intense athletic trials.

"But it was a really interesting time because while I was there I was also trialling for Leeds United," said McIntosh.

She spent her time practicing in isolation before receiving public housing support.
